A rightsized business that supports you financially AND creatively. Too many makers, teachers, and “preneuers” spend too much time IN their business and not enough time ON their business.
To help people build a lifestyle business that is rightsized for their needs, I teach people how to leverage business ecology and specifically write about tools and techniques for marketing, copywriting, community building, and communication for your business.

I envision a world where we are guided by our foundations, connected to our roots, and engage closely with the natural world.
I believe in a world where these principles are applied to work, life, and play.
In doing so, our mental, physical, spiritual, social, and community health will improve, and we will discover what it means to design lives that help us self-actualize.
This philosophy is not limited to only our own life.
There are foundational, powerful principles in nature for our communities as well. Principles that we can apply to education, business, leadership, medicine, and much more.

Lessons from a Bonsai
What we can learn from an ancient art.
The Tree of 9 Branches takes inspiration from the Japanese art of Bonsai and imagines each person as the bonsai artist of their own life.
As a bonsai artist works with the living canvas of the tree, we work with the living canvas of our life. We work with both the physical nature of who we are, and the metaphysical practice of becoming who we want to be.
With enough bonsai lifestyle artists in our communities, this movement becomes a powerful forest of nature-based change.
The 9 Branches of natural lifestyle design are the 8 dimensions of human life tied together with the philosophy of practice as purpose.
